Start with one pattern
Write three cards and name their ranks and suits separately. Begin with repeated ranks, then matching suits, then sequences.
Change one card
Replace one card and explain which test changes. A useful example is 6-clubs, 6-diamonds, Q-hearts becoming 6-clubs, 6-diamonds, 6-hearts.
State the category
Use the ranking chart and keep its no-Joker teaching profile visible. Do not infer a round outcome from a category alone.
Review the error
Was the issue the rank, suit or sequence convention? Record that point and try the practice questions. No exercise promises winning results.
